Yidish-vokh 2026
The next Yidish-vokh will occur from August 14th to 20th, 2026 (Friday till Thursday). Registration will open in the spring.
Yidish-vokh started in 1976 when Dr. Mordkhe Schaechter brought students from the Advanced Yiddish Class at the “Uriel Weinreich Summer Program” on a weekend trip to Camp Boiberik so that they would have an opportunity to experience life in Yiddish. Since then, Yidish-vokh has become the only Yiddish-speaking vacation spot, where students, families, and seniors from over the entire Yiddish world can live together for a week and speak only Yiddish. For families who are raising their children in Yiddish, Yidish-vokh is a necessity, as it gives them an opportunity to play with other children in Yiddish–an environment that is nearly impossible to find in this day and age.
